This serene greetings card features the soft pastel colours of dusk. A sign of the height of Summer, with blue and yellow skies, and a soft cloud hovering over the treetops. It is blank inside for your own personal message.
The uncoated paper gives colours a sophisticated feel and a slightly muted finish. Environmentally friendly recycled envelopes have an off-white, coarse texture with earthy flecked depths to their uncoated surface.
I took this photograph on a bird monitoring trip to the Algarve in Portugal. We were setting up for a Swallow roost, and I remember seeing hundreds of Cattle Egrets coming into the ponds for the night.
